Alec Bard, Lowe, Arrigo top State-Am Qualifier

DELHI -- Alec Bard and Steve
Lowe were the top local finishers
at the Yahnundasis Golf Club in
the Utica/Rome Sectional Qualifier
for the New York State Golf
Association Men's Amateur golf
tournament July 17-19 at Elmira
Country Club.
Bard and Lowe - both from Cedar
Lake Golf Club - shot 77s to earn
co-medalist with Alex Arrigo
(Highland Park).
Tied for fourth at 79 were Matthew
Albanese (Seven Oaks) and
Jordan Karp (Yahnundasis Golf
Club).
Other local qualifiers include Joe
Hobika, Jr. (Yahnundasis), Ian
Campbell (Kanon Valley), Joel
Jakubowicz (Skenandoa) and
Twin Ponds' Mike Zurek, the 2011
Greater Utica City-Am champion.
